Submission guidelines
Reckon you’ve got a brilliant idea for a business book? Great, we love brilliant ideas! Why not share it with us and we’ll see if, together, we can create a bestseller.
In order to assess your proposal, it would be great if you could provide us with the following information (preferably in as few pages as will be needed to help us make a proper assessment):
Overview
Brief description of the overall style, tone, scope and objectives. Why are you writing this book and what makes it stand out as a great idea?
Market information
Who will be reading this book and why? Tell us your primary and secondary audiences, if you have such things. Who are you trying to reach? What’s the market need?
Content
Tell us what you can about how this will shape up. Have you mapped out a structure yet? Do you have any material you can show us? How long will it be? Do you want pictures/diagrams etc?
Competition
Why is your book different from the six million others already out there? What do you see your book going head to head with, and why? Be realistic and be honest.
About you
If you haven’t already done so, tell us as much as you can about who you are and why you will be a best-selling author. What contacts do you have that will help us sell the book? What is your sales platform? Who is in your circle of trust? Are you on the speaking circuit? This information is really important – an author who speaks a lot, sells a lot!
Anything else
Finally, feel free to tell us anything else that you think will be a deciding factor in us taking you on as an author. If you spend some time thinking about it, there are bound to be things that will help make your book an even more compelling proposition.
Once you’ve done all that, please email or post your proposal to Jenny at:
