Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill is widely believed to be the most influential writer in the area of personal success technique development and to have helped more people to achieve success than any other person in history. Born into poverty in 1883 in Virginia, Hill grew up fighting against class disadvantages and pressures and dedicated his life to defining the reasons why so many people fail to achieve success and happiness.

Hills first big break came when he was commissioned by the steel-magnate Andrew Carnegie to interview over 500 millionaires to find a success formula that could be used by the average person. Working with Carnegie and drawing on the experiences of these tycoons he formulated a philosophy of success. The result, Think and Grow Rich, was over 20 years in the making. Hill passed away in November 1970 after a long and successful career writing, teaching, and lecturing about the principles of success. His work stands as a monument to individual achievement and is the cornerstone of modern motivation.

Hill published several works during his lifetime, including 1928 Law of Success; The Magic Ladder to Success; Think & Grow Rich; and Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude. Think and Grow Rich is the all-time bestseller in its field whose success made Hill a millionaire.
